University Avenue Milling & Paving Nighttime Operations

The City of Oxford paving contractor will be working overnight on University Avenue from South Lamar Boulevard to McLarty Road during the hours of 7 pm to 5 am beginning on Tuesday, May 17, and will work nightly (except on weekends) until all work is completed. Work is to include milling of the existing pavement surface, the application of a new pavement surface, and the re-striping of the roadway. The traveling public can expect delays during these hours and intermittent lane closures during work. Please drive carefully through this area during work hours paying special caution to all temporary traffic control signs and flaggers. If at all possible, please avoid this area until work has ceased. Please report concerns and questions to the office of the city engineer at 662-232-2306.
