Oxford Way Traffic Signal Begins Flash Mode on Tuesday, August 3

The new traffic signal at the intersection of South Lamar and Oxford Way will be placed into “Flash Mode” today, Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Flash mode is used to alert motorists to a pending signal activation. While in Flash mode, the signal will flash yellow for traffic on South Lamar and red for traffic on Oxford Way. Traffic should use caution in the area but should NOT treat this intersection as an active traffic signal. Traffic leaving Oxford Way must still stop and wait for a safe opening in traffic to enter South Lamar until the signal is fully activated. The signal is anticipated to be placed into full stop-and-go operation on Thursday, August 12th.
