Harrison/Tyler Avenue Parking Lot Closure

The City of Oxford will begin construction to improve the parking lot on the southwest corner of the downtown square on Wednesday, June 12th. The existing parking lot at Harrison and Tyler Avenue (see Figure 2) will be closed for the remainder of the summer. The construction project has an anticipated completion date of mid-August, 2024. Improvements to the parking lot include, stormwater detention, trash enclosure, grease enclosure, and improved pedestrian and vehicular circulation. During construction heavy equipment will be coming and going frequently. While the streets will remain open during construction, it is recommended that this area be avoided.
