City Of Oxford Announces New Hires and New Department

The City of Oxford is pleased to announce the following:

Long time City Engineer, Bart Robinson, has taken on a new and important role with the City of Oxford as Chief Operating Officer. His 20 years of service to our city make him uniquely qualified for this position and we are lucky to have him.

Taking over for Mr. Robinson is Reanna Mayoral, our new City Engineer. Ms. Mayoral has been Assistant City Engineer since 2011 and is well deserving of this promotion.

Joining the City of Oxford is John Crawley, formerly a city engineer with Tupelo. Mr. Crowley will take on the role of Assistant City Engineer. We look forward to welcoming him to Oxford.

In addition to these changes, we have taken the opportunity to form a new department entitled Department of Developmental Services. Hollis Green, formerly of the Oxford Conference Center, has joined us as Director. Development Services encompasses Engineering, Planning, and Building. We hope to streamline the process of development projects as they move through the approval process in these City departments. Oxford is growing at a rapid rate and we are making strides to make our process as efficient and effective as possible.

Taking over for Mr. Green at the Oxford Conference Center is Hayden Guest. Hayden has served as Sales Director for the Conference Center for the past 10 years and is well prepared for her new role.

We also have a new Chief of our Fire Department. After 21 years of service with the Oxford Fire Department, Joey Gardner has been promoted to Fire Chief after serving as Interim. We are in good hands with Chief Gardner.

Finally, last month we changed the name of Oxford Electric to Oxford Utilities, as we have combined our electric, water, and sewer departments. Rob Neely, who has served as the Manager of Oxford Electric now serves as Manager of Oxford Utilities.

We look forward to the leadership of all of these fine city servants.
