July 9, 2025 - Contractors Working on University Avenue, Weather Permitting

Please be advised that beginning Wednesday morning (7/9/25) at approximately 7:00 a.m., the City of Oxford will have concrete contractors working on University Avenue, repairing curbs by the Velvet Ditch, as well as across the street next to the Chevron gas station. Traffic lanes will be blocked as this work is completed. Please note, while the Velvet Ditch curb is being repaired, the westbound lane will be closed, and then, when the curb on the gas station side is being repaired, the eastbound lane will be closed. All of this work should take approximately three days, weather permitting. Please use extreme caution when traveling through this area and plan an alternate route, if possible.
