Traffic Pattern Changes on South Lamar

Traffic Pattern Changes on South Lamar
Please be aware of changes in the traffic patterns on South Lamar at Belk Boulevard. One half of the future roundabout at “new” Belk Boulevard and South Lamar has been completed and traffic is being temporarily re-routed while the other half is built. The new alignment for the “old Belk” Boulevard (by the Old hospital) has been opened to traffic and the old alignment near Philip’s Grocery has been closed. There are no left turns onto “new” Belk from the south during this temporary traffic pattern. Traffic coming from old Belk or from the south (Philip’s Grocery side of the intersection) will have to continue north to the existing roundabouts at Highway 6 and approach the “new” Belk from the north side. Drive with caution through this area and watch for other motorists who may not be familiar with the changes. Please see the provided image for additional information about these changes. Thank you for your patience as construction crews continue work on the roundabout. We look forward to the work being completed later this fall.
