Downtown Parking

Beginning November 26, 2012, regular parking citations will be issued to vehicles parking in the premium curbside spaces in the Square / Downtown area for longer than two hours. Fines related to citations increase for multiple violations, and after four violations in a year, a vehicle may be immobilized or towed for any future violation in the 12 month period following the first violation.

Highway 6 Interchange Proposals

Proposals for Old Taylor Road and Jackson Avenue Interchanges

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) recently held two Open Forum Public Meetings regarding the planned projects at the interchanges of State Route 6 with Jackson Avenue and Old Taylor Road. The proposals presented at these meetings are now available for viewing here.
