Traffic Calming Policy Approved

Requests Prioritized on First-Come, First Served Basis

The Board of Alderman adopted a new Traffic Calming Policy at its April 16, 2013 meeting. The policy provides a step-by-step procedure to address citizens concerns regarding speeding cars in neighborhoods, excessive cut-through traffic, or other safety concerns that may arise.

Deer Management Plan

deerwalkThe City of Oxford Mayor and Board of Aldermen adopted a deer management plan in August 2010. The goal of this plan is to ensure a safe and effective system to manage the growth and control of the white tail deer population that resides within the boundaries of the City of Oxford. The plan includes methods to ensure public safety, reduce property damage, and destruction caused by overpopulation within the urban areas of the city limits.

Sisk Ave Traffic Changes

The City would like to notify everyone to expect a change in traffic patterns on Sisk Avenue at the intersection of Highway 7 beginning around 2 PM this afternoon (14th). This change will also be in place on Wednesday morning.  (click on image for higher resolution map)
