Employment Listings
with the City of Oxford

 All employment listings and information are handled through
 the City of Oxford Human Resources Department

          Successful candidate must have an Associate or Bachelors degree in Field/Turf           Management, or a related field, or at least 3-5 years of turf management           experience. The Sports Turf Manager must also possess experience in playing           surfaces, as well as the common and perimeter areas, maintaining sand base and           native soil Bermuda grass fields; preparing infield skin, mound area, plate area,           sod work, fertilizing, weed and disease control, aerating, topdressing, mowing,           edging, irrigation, pre-game field prep, tarp handling, and field set up. Managerial           experience highly recommended. Must have a valid Mississippi Drivers License.

          Applications may be obtained and submitted at City Hall; 107 Courthouse           Square; Oxford, MS, until 5:00 P.M., Friday, May 16, 2008. Applications also           may be printed from our website at www.oxfordms.net

    City of Oxford Fire Department

          Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years of age,           have a valid MS driver's license and be able to pass a physical agility and adult           equivalency test. To be considered, applicant must attend a Physical agility           testing orientation session Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 9 a.m. – 11a.m., at the           Lafayette County Central Fire Station, CR 1023, Oxford, MS. This selection           process is for the purpose of establishing a pool of qualified applicants for           upcoming vacancies.

          Applications may be obtained and submitted at City Hall; 107 Courthouse           Square; Oxford, MS, until 5:00 P.M., Friday, May 23, 2008. Applications also           may be printed from our website at www.oxfordms.net
